So far, the panels have been reliable and I haven’t noticed any major issues with the output, which is what matters most. The app does glitch here and there, and support took a little longer than I expected to get back to me. Maybe I’m being a bit impatient, but I feel like quicker replies would make the whole experience better. Overall though, the system itself seems dependable.

We’ve had our SunPower system for a bit now and it’s been running great. I check the app probably more than I need to, but it’s nice seeing the production numbers, and our electric bill dropped more than I thought it would. Even with the hot days, no weird issues or anything. Anyway, overall we’re happy with it so far.

I havent had any issues with my bill. No random weird charges showing up, and the amount has been right every month so far.

"Install was good, but the follow-up wore me out"
The panels were installed without any real issues, and the crew was friendly and easy to deal with. I don’t have many complaints about that part, and the system seems to be working fine so far.
After the install, though, getting help was more frustrating than I expected. I had a question about the app and a small paperwork issue, and it took a few calls and emails before I got a clear answer. It wasn’t awful, but I was already feeling mentally drained by the back-and-forth, especially after spending that much money.

"Tech knew his stuff, but acted like a jerk"
I booked the service through sunpower.com, and to be fair, the technician did show up when he was supposed to. The guy clearly knew what he was doing with the panels, so I won’t knock him on the actual work.
That said, his attitude was lousy. He acted like a rushed know-it-all, barely explained anything, and left little packaging scraps near my garage like some kind of slob. I even had to ask the same question twice just to get a real answer.
The system is working now, so at least there’s that. But the whole visit felt sloppy and kind of disrespectful. For what we’re paying, I expected someone with better manners and a little more care for the house...

I reached out and they replied quickly, which made a big difference. I can’t really explain it, but it just felt reassuring and left me with a really good impression

"Bad timing and frustrating lease terms"
I felt like the lease terms were unfair, and the whole financing part was more confusing than it needed to be. It also ended up feeling really expensive. The worst part was the timing, I was trying to get everything sorted quickly, and that’s when all the unclear costs and details started coming up. Just a frustrating experience overall

I appreciated that they were trying to keep me in the loop and not leave me guessing. That said, the updates were kind of confusing because they took way too long to explain what was actually going on. Once I finally understood the situation, everything was fine, but I wish the communication had been quicker and clearer.

"Too expensive for what it was"
I got a quote from SunPower and, oof, it was way higher than I expected. The monthly payments just didn’t really line up with the savings they were showing me. Maybe the panels are great, sure, but for that kind of money? Nope. I just couldn’t see the value.

"Easy way to keep an eye on my panels"
I check the SunPower app pretty much every day to see how my panels are doing. It’s simple to use, loads fast, and the whole experience has been smooth. I also like being able to spot anything weird without having to call someone first

"Permits were way less stressful than I expected"
I was nervous about the permit part because, in my experience, our city takes forever with anything paperwork-related. I figured it would turn into a headache, but sunpower handled most of it for us, which was a relief.
They kept me in the loop when things were submitted and also let me know when the city asked for a small change. I really appreciated that because I didn’t feel like I had to keep calling or checking in myself.
It still took a bit of time, but I blame that more on the city than anything else. From my side, the whole process felt easy and a lot less stressful than I expected.

"Why did this take so long to fix?"
I had an issue with my system getting it sorted out was way more of a hassle than it should’ve been. Support did respond, so I’ll give them that, but then I kept getting bounced from one person to another like nobody wanted to actually own the problem. And of course, every time it was someone new, I had to explain the same thing all over again. Super annoying. It did eventually get fixed, but it took weeks longer than I expected, which is just ridiculous for something that should’ve been handled way sooner. Not the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had, but definitely frustrating and painfully slow...

"Panels work, but I was honestly a little embarrassed by the mess"
The panels seem to be working fine, so no complaints there. But the install crew was sloppy and left a mess behind. I actually felt embarrassed having to clean things up afterward, especially since I expected the whole process to be a lot more professional.

"Good warranty, but I wish it was easier to understand"
I’ll admit I’m probably a little biased because I already like SunPower and wanted to feel good about going with them, but the warranty does seem solid overall. That said, actually reading through it wasn’t exactly quick. A few parts were confusing enough that I had to ask follow-up questions before I felt like I understood what was covered. It’s not a bad warranty by any means, I just wish they made the important stuff clearer upfront.

"Installation timeline kept changing"
The install timeline kept slipping, which was really frustrating. I understand delays can happen, but I wish there had been more updates or reassurance along the way so I wasn’t left wondering what was going on
